Unfortunately, the current global pandemic is having a serious and unprecedented effect on the market and many households find themselves in a financial strain.
Whether you need to get a new job or you’re trying to get a side hustle, here are 10 easy ways to make money online.

1 – Online Tutoring and Coaching
There are tons of online tutoring platforms like VipKid, Qkids, Cambly, and GoGo Kid that pay about $15 – $24 an hour to teach kids subjects like dance, music, and of course, language.
Some of these platforms are intended to teach English to Chinese children. For the most part, their only requirement is being a native English speaker.
The only caveat with VipKid is that it requires a University degree, and if your internet cuts for more than 3 minutes, they will charge you with a cancellation of a class.
Sometimes your students live in foreign countries, which means they will be in a different time zone, so you might find yourself teaching after midnight your time, which is about mid-day their time.
2 – Clean Your Home And Make Some Instant Cash
Do a little spring cleaning and set aside any unwanted items like old clothes, electronic gadgets you’re not using, or even footwear.
Everyone has a closet, a basement, or a loft full of long-forgotten items. And while they might be junk to you, they could be someone else’s treasure.
So, don’t throw anything out!
You can sell your old stuff for some quick cash using these online platforms:
- Do you have old furniture you don’t want anymore? Try selling it on Craigslist.
- Got an old tablet or cell phone to sell? Try Gazelle, Amazon, or Ebay.

4 – Earn Some Easy Cash by Taking Online Surveys
One of the quickest ways for anyone to make money online is by taking online surveys.
I still remember when I used to do online surveys to make extra money.
The online surveys didn’t make me rich, but they helped me have a little bit of extra money so that I could pay our bills. Taking online surveys was flexible too – I could do them from home, on my lunch break, on the weekends, and even on the bus. All I needed was an internet connection.
Most of them take a few minutes to complete. Swagbucks pays about $6 to $8 per hour, but many of these platforms offer a $5 to $10 bonus just for signing up.

PrizeRebel
PrizeRebel is a free rewards site where you are rewarded for completing tasks in exchange for gift cards and cash (such as surveys).
Collect the daily points and complete the available surveys. You can also get paid for watching videos and participate in games and raffles.
OneOpinion
Get points every time you complete a survey – they can be traded in for rewards (I used to choose the $25 virtual Visa Debit Card).
If you prefer cash, OneOpinion has now added the option of having your rewards delivered directly to your PayPal account which I think it’s pretty cool. Oh, and it’s available in the US, UK and Canada.

Qmee
Qmee has paid surveys which take about 5-15 min to complete. Paypal cashout has no limit and is instant (you can check out with even less than $1).
It also includes a browser app extension that helps to earn some easy money on the side. Basically, you do your google/yahoo/eBay/amazon searches as normal, and sometimes ads ad links come up on the side. Clicking those ad links range from 5-20 cents that go into your Qmee PiggyBank.

Survey Junkie
You can expect to earn about $1 to $3 per completed survey. However, they are very tailored to your profile, so they tend to be interesting.
They payout it’s not much, but completing a couple of them every day you’ll get enough to pay a couple of bills per month.
Swagbucks
This company gives you points for taking surveys, watching videos, using it as a search engine (just like Google), online shopping, and trying new promotional products.
Then you can redeem these points for gift cards. Back in the day I used to claim at least one $50 per month.
Vindale Research
It’s one of the best survey companies considering the payout and time you spend per survey.
I used to do the ones which pay between $2 to $20, but I also did the daily $1 surveys from PeanutLab.
Rakuten
Just by signing up with Rakuten, you will receive a 3.0% cash back anytime you buy at Amazon which it’s technically another of the easy ways to make money online.
I’ve been paid more than $300 from Rakuten since I started using it.

5 – As You Can Imagine, Delivery is Rising
Although this would involve leaving the house, becoming a delivery person is one of the easiest ways to make some easy money and replace your full-time income if you lost your job.
There are many companies hiring personnel due to the pandemic. Try getting a delivery job with:
- Amazon Flex to deliver groceries or household items
- Saucey to deliver alcohol
- Rinse to deliver laundry and dry cleaning
- JoyRun to deliver groceries and takeout
- Postmates to deliver restaurant meals, groceries, and personal items
- DoorDash to deliver groceries and takeout
- UberEats to deliver food from restaurants
- Grubnhub to deliver food from restaurants
- Instacart to personally shop for online clients and deliver grocery products
While there are risks involved during the pandemic, there are also hygiene protocols in place like wearing a face mask, using alcohol to wash your hands and disinfect surfaces, and wearing latex gloves during delivery to ensure everyone’s safety.
6 – Easy Ways to Make Money Online Selling Your Photos
According to International Living, Stock Photography Websites like Depositphotos, Shutterstock, Photoshelter and Getty Images pay people for their photos.
So if you have some decent photography skills and know your way around Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or other editing software, you can try uploading your photos to any of these sites.
This allows organizations, designers, and bloggers to buy them from you. Plus, you can sell these images plenty of times so you’ll continue to make passive income if your photos are a hit.
On my blog, I always purchase my photos (I don’t have any photography skills).
One of my favorite places is Depositphotos, however, since I upgraded my Canva account to the Pro version, I get all the photos I need for Pinterest from there.
7 – Open a High-Interest Savings Account
If you let a $10,000 deposit sit in a regular saving account for a year, you will only earn about a dollar because most major banks only offer an interest rate of 0.01 percent.
But by depositing the same amount in a high-interest savings account at a bank like iGoBanking, Ally, or Synchrony which offers an interest rate of 1 to 1.55 percent, a client can earn an extra $155 a year from that $10,000. Best of all, there are no hidden fees.

Dropshipping is a fulfillment method used in retail where a seller doesn’t actually keep the products it sells in stock, plus is one of the most profitable easy ways to make money online.
So, when a person buys a product from them, they’ll buy it from a third party and then get it shipped directly to the customer.
This is a fairly common selling practice on platforms like Amazon or eBay. This means you won’t have to buy a bunch of products in bulk and store them in the garage without really knowing if they’re going to sell or not.

9 – Fiverr / Upwork
Fiverr.com is a platform that allows people from all over the world to sell a specialized skill.
You don’t need to be a professional writer, voice-over actor, or editor to get clients. There’s a gig for pretty much everything.
From graphic design, virtual assistant services, data entry, programming, recording birthday videos, to transcription jobs, Fiverr gives everyone the chance to earn some cash, fast.
In the past, during my first few months of blogging I used to do some programming jobs from Upwork (mainly helping businesses set up their websites). Upwork is a very professional platform and I can tell because one of my best friends makes a living from it.
10 – Create an Online Course
I’m sure there are plenty of things you are passionate about.
